I’m going to use the map emoji to introduce some new ways of thinking about the world around me. I have always thought that maps were the most important thing in the world. So I made this map to show the different levels of my self-awareness, and to show the different levels of self-awareness in others.

It would be like the little sign you saw earlier that says “I know I’m ugly, but I’m happy to take advantage of this.
I could have just said that I know who you are, but it would have been a bit less informative. I think that this is why we often forget to mention our own self-awareness. Especially because we are so often the people who are the most self-aware.
The map emoji is actually pretty self-explanatory. It looks like a map of the world. I could see one person saying that it looks like a map of America, but it reminds me of that scene in the movie The Room.
That scene in the movie? Yeah, that scene where the character, played by Andy Kaufman, says it looks like a map of the world, is actually the scene where he says it looks like a map of the room.
So we’re not just any maps. We’re maps of maps. So it’s easy to see how the map emoji is a reference to the movie.
